Vine Street is the Official Beverage Partner of "But Did You Listen To The Album?

Music has always been the infrastructure of 18th & Vine. Not just what you hear on a stage. The conversation happening at the bar. The debate over who made the better album. The moment somebody says "nah, you need to go back and listen to the whole thing." That energy is exactly what Kim Newsome and Leigh Gibbs bring every single episode.

If you know Kansas City's music scene, you already know Kimology and Leigh from KC. They hold down stages, uplift creatives, and carry voices that can fill a room without a microphone. Now they've joined forces for But Did You Listen To The Album?, a podcast dedicated to breaking down the records that shaped us. Not the singles. Not the playlist cuts. The album. Front to back. The way it was meant to be heard.

Vine Street Brewing is officially the beverage partner for the show. That means our beer is in the building every time they sit down to record. It means two Kansas City institutions, one built on music and one built on beer, are now in the same room doing what both of us do best: creating space for culture to breathe.

This partnership makes sense because it is honest. Kim and Leigh are not reading a script about our beer. They are drinking it because they already were. That is the only kind of partnership worth announcing.

Stay on the lookout for a live podcast event at Vine Street down the road. We are working on something special that brings BDYLTA into the taproom with a custom cocktail and an evening you will not want to miss. Details are coming. For now, just know the conversation is about to get louder.

Until then, pull up to their YouTube channel, hit subscribe, and do the homework. When they ask if you listened to the album, you better have an answer.

Cheers,

Kemet Coleman
