Thursdays at Vine Street start here. Jamel Rockwell is running a Golden Era Hip-Hop set in the upstairs taproom – think 90s and early 2000s cuts, KC energy, and good conversation.
Upstairs is the main room with the music; the Groove Room downstairs stays open as a softer conversation zone.

We’re kicking off something special at Vine Street Brewing Co. — a brand-new series designed to bring our community together in a way that’s real, relevant, and rooted in KC culture. Introducing the VSB Lunch & Learn, a weekly midday meetup where great food meets great conversation.
Our taproom has always been a gathering place. Now, we’re opening the doors a little earlier and creating space for deeper dialogue around the things that move Kansas City — music, entrepreneurship, community, creativity, and the future of our city.
And we’re starting strong.

Kansas City’s creative community is powerful — but we all know the challenges our musicians face every day. For our first Lunch & Learn, we’re hosting The Future of KC Music — A Musicians Plea Conversation, a candid dialogue on where we’re headed, the gaps we need to close, and what it takes to build a music ecosystem that can foster a thriving industry.
Hosted by Kemet Coleman, this session brings together voices from across KC’s music scene for a real, open conversation that anyone invested in the city’s culture should hear.

Brass & Booojee
Brass & Booojee returns Saturday, October 25 from 5–9pm at Vine Street Brewing! Join us for a Halloween celebration of culture, connection, and craft beer — now with even more reason to raise a glass.
Tickets are $10 per person and can be pre-purchased on our website or at the door.
This year’s event features a costume party and a live performance from Brass & Boujee — the world’s only 20-piece hip-hop brass band bringing an unmatched blend of sound, rhythm, and energy.
We’ll also be celebrating and educating guests about our newest release, Black is Beautiful, a beer brewed with fonio— an ancient African grain known for its sustainability and rich cultural heritage.
