The collaboration beer debuts November 6 in Belfast alongside a live release performance by Kansas City artist and Vine Street co-founder Kemet Coleman.\n\nKANSAS CITY, Mo. / BELFAST, Northern Ireland: Vine Street Brewing Co. and Out of Office are bringing Kansas City and Belfast together through Double Conscious, a collaboration beer scheduled to make its first pour Friday, November 6, 2026. The release takes place at Out of Office’s taproom upstairs at Ulster Sports Club in Belfast, on the same night Vine Street co-founder Kemet Coleman releases and performs his new album of the same name.\n\nThe beer grows out of Coleman’s ongoing relationship with Belfast’s music and brewing communities. November marks his fourth visit to the city, where performances, conversations, and time spent in local venues have developed into creative relationships. Double Conscious brings those connections into one room: a Belfast-brewed beer, a Kansas City artist’s new record, and a live gathering built around both.
For Vine Street, the collaboration connects directly to what happens at home. Located in an 1870s limestone building in Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine Jazz District, Missouri’s first Black-owned brewery brings beer, music, and hospitality together under one roof. Music is part of how the brewery welcomes people, tells stories, and gives the neighborhood a place to gather. With Double Conscious, that approach finds a shared expression across the Atlantic.\n\nMick and the Out of Office crew are leading production in Belfast, with brewing input from Vine Street Head Brewer Elliott Ivory. Developed as a fruited sour, Double Conscious takes a different direction from the earlier Two Ships in the Night collaboration, which connected Vine Street, Bullhouse Brew Co, and Out of Office through a light, approachable beer inspired by Vine Street’s East 71 Cream Ale. This release continues the relationship with a new beer and a new musical chapter.

The connection carries through to the packaging. Coleman created the artwork for both the album and the beer, giving the record and the can a shared visual identity. At Vine Street, a beer label is treated like an album cover: an introduction to a character, a place, or a story. This time, the album cover really is the beer label.\n\nThe accompanying album, Double Conscious, brings house, dance music, and hip-hop into the same creative space. Soulful grooves, rap verses, and dance-floor energy feed each other throughout the record, reflecting Coleman’s connected worlds of music, beer, identity, and place. The Belfast release night carries that spirit into the room, with Coleman performing alongside Kadesh Flow and Flare Tha Rebel, plus DJ Aisling Zita and a special guest on the decks.
Double Conscious makes its debut Friday, November 6, at Out of Office, upstairs at Ulster Sports Club, 96-98 High Street, Belfast. Doors open at 7 pm, with the show beginning at 8 pm. Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 at the door.
The beer is a Belfast release and will not be available for public sale or pours at Vine Street in Kansas City. Kansas City guests can celebrate the music at Double Conscious: The Homecoming, Saturday, November 14, from 7 to 10 pm at Vine Street Brewing Co., with Coleman and DJ Skeme. Tickets start at $15.
