Welcome to Pound Town: The Hood Dude x Vine Street Collab Drops 3/29

On Sunday, March 29, from 2:00–6:00 pm, Vine Street Brewing and Hood Dude Food Reviews are officially turning the taproom into Pound Town.

This isn't just a beer release; it's a cultural collision. Pound Town is a banana-and-açaí smoothie bowl sour ale built for Glenn Robinson’s world: big flavor, no pretense, and straight from the block.

The Vision: Music, Beer, and Culture

This collaboration follows the massive momentum of Opal Reign, Vine Street’s project with rapper The Royal Chief. For Missouri’s first Black-owned brewery, these releases signal a new lane where music and craft beer move as one.

“We’re not just dropping beers, we’re building a language,” says Kemet Coleman, co-founder of Vine Street Brewing. “This is Kansas City expressing itself through hip-hop culture, flavor, and experience all at once.”

The Beer: A Smoothie Bowl in a Glass

Pound Town started with a pivot. When the original idea of cantaloupe didn't quite hit the mark, Glenn “Hood Dude” Robinson pushed for something different.

“I knew one thing—if I was stepping into this world, it had to be DIFFERENT,” Robinson says. “We pivoted... and that’s where the magic happened. Banana and açaí.”
