KANSAS CITY, MO (September 10, 2026) — Vine Street Brewing Co., Missouri's first Black-owned brewery, announced today that its products are now carried by Aramark at the Kansas City Convention Center. Vine Street joins Boulevard Brewing as the only local craft beer options on the convention center menu, and is the first Black-owned brewery in the Aramark lineup at the venue. Distribution will be handled by Craft Republic, Vine Street's existing distributor across the Kansas City metro area.

Aramark operates food and beverage at some of the largest event spaces in the country, including Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Being carried in their system means that when a buyer at another Aramark-managed location looks for local craft options, Vine Street can show up on that list. That was not possible before this week.

The relationship was facilitated by Kansas City G.I.F.T. (Generating Income For Tomorrow), a local organization focused on building economic opportunity for Black entrepreneurs. G.I.F.T. made the introduction to Aramark's local team, and from there Vine Street worked through the vendor process with Craft Republic handling the logistics. The door opened because people who believe in what we are building were willing to make the call.

Vine Street Brewing Co. operates out of a restored 1850s limestone building at 2000 Vine Street in Kansas City's historic 18th and Vine Jazz District. The building sat vacant for roughly forty years before the brewery opened. Most of Vine Street's beer is sold within a few miles of where it's brewed. Getting into a venue that hosts conventions, concerts, trade shows, and city-wide events changes where the product can be found and who encounters it. The distance between the taproom and the convention center is about a mile and a half. For a brewery this size, on this block, that mile and a half took years of work.

Aramark's presence at Arrowhead and at venues across the country means this relationship has room to grow. Vine Street is focused on doing the work right at the convention center first, and building from there.
