Vine Street Brewing Company Partners with Fredcasts and Beer with Nigel for a Special Screening of “One Pint at a Time”

We are excited to announce a two-day event celebrating Black innovation in craft brewing, in partnership with Fredcasts and Beer with Nigel! This special event will be held on April 12th and 13th at Vine Street Brewing Co. and will highlight the documentary film "One Pint at a Time."

"One Pint at a Time" tells the story of Black brewers who are challenging the status quo and changing the narrative of craft beer culture. The film delves into the challenges Black brewers face in the industry and their unwavering passion for creating high-quality beers.

  • Friday, April 12th

    • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: The Beers with Nigel podcast live at Vine Street Brewing Co.

    • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Bottle Share Party at Vine Street Brewing Co.

  • Saturday, April 13th

    • 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Film Screening at The Gem Theater

    • 5:30-6:30 - Brewers Panel at The Gem Theater

Vine Street Brewing is honored to host some of the biggest names in brewing and creating a space for diversity within the industry. All while supporting three amazing organizations

The event will feature a screening of the film, followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers and a bottle-share party. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of Black brewers in America and to sample some amazing beers from Black-owned breweries.

“One Pint at a Time” will be preceded by a panel discussion featuring some of the industries biggest names in Black brewing including:

  • Teo Hunter, Crown & Hops (Inglewood, CA)

  • Day Bracey & Ed Bailey, Barrel & Flow Fest (Pittsburgh)

  • Alisa Bowen, Rhythm Brewing (New Haven, CT)

  • Jon Renthrope, Cajun Fire Brewing (New Orleans)

Hosting One Pint At A Time in the 18th & Vine District is crucial as it honors the legacy of this historic neighborhood as a hub of Black innovation and culture.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the National Black Brewers Association, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, and the American Jazz Museum. These organizations are all working to celebrate Black excellence and culture, and we are proud to support their work.
