World Cup at Vine Street Brewing

The World Cup is one of those rare moments when the entire world starts paying attention to your city.

People fly in from everywhere. They want the match, but they also want the city. They want the food, the culture, the stories, and the places that actually tell them something about where they are.

That's why we're excited about what this summer means for Kansas City and for 18th & Vine.

If you're visiting for the World Cup and looking for a real piece of Kansas City, start at Vine Street.

We're not trying to become a generic sports bar for a month. That's not who we are. Vine Street Brewing sits in the heart of the historic 18th & Vine Jazz District, one of the most important cultural districts in America. Music lives here. History lives here. Kansas City lives here.

For the right matches and Kansas City-hosted game days, we'll have the games on throughout the building. The taproom will remain what it's always been: a place to grab a beer, order some food, bring your friends, and settle into the kind of room that feels comfortable whether you're a lifelong Kansas Citian or stepping into the city for the first time.

For bigger match days, we'll activate the building as a dedicated watch party space with larger viewing experiences, room for groups, and the kind of energy that makes major sporting events memorable. We'll also be offering private Groove Room rentals throughout the tournament for groups, clients, families, and organizations looking for a home base during the World Cup.

But this is about more than soccer.

There are going to be plenty of places in Kansas City where a game is playing on a screen. What we're trying to offer is a place with a point of view.

At Vine Street, you'll find beer brewed on site, food made for the moment, music woven into the experience, and a neighborhood that helped shape Kansas City's identity. You can watch a match almost anywhere. You can only experience 18th & Vine in one place.

World Cup will bring visitors, locals, soccer fans, curious travelers, and people simply looking for a good room to spend an afternoon or evening. We want Vine Street to be a place where all of those groups can come together.

We're also testing Tuesday hours over the next couple of weeks to help us catch more match windows and continue learning what this summer wants to be. We'll keep adjusting as the tournament unfolds and as Kansas City starts welcoming the world.

The World Cup may be global, but the best part of it has always been local. It's where you watch. Who you're with. What's in your glass. What the room feels like when something big happens.

That's where we come in.

If you want a real piece of Kansas City during the World Cup, come to Vine Street Brewing.

Watch the match.

Grab a beer. Bring your people.

And if you really want to understand this city, start at 18th & Vine.

Cheers,

Kemet Coleman
